Last night I had the honor of being able to watch Kanye West perform on VH1's "Storytellers". I know a lot of people don't like Kanye, citing his arrogance as the main reason. Personally I don't really care to argue that point, since he's free to say what he wants.
What I will argue, however, is that what I saw on TV last night was one of the single greatest performances I've ever witnessed. Musically he delivered with unmatched intensity. The person or team responsible for the stage design should be praised and win many awards, as the colors and visual effects were stunning. Even the Kanye-ness of West was superb. "You could be anywhere in the world tonight, but you wouldn't be as happy as you are right now," put a big grin on my face. Listening to him talk about his life and his music was really inspirational and in some ways may have changed my life, or at least the way in which I approach different issues.
